man...since mdm loke's lecture (ah, boys) today i've been thinking about how divided our class is.
all the hate and whatnot >< Inevitable i guess.
It's a superiority complex thing, huh.
Everyone thinks the other groups are bullshit.
Hell, yeah. life rocks :D
Overrated? I guess.
No one's gonna subscribe to this bullshit anyway.

The word 'teacher', if searched in dictionaries, always yields the same results - one who is hired to teach and to impart knowledge, or some variation of that. However, to each his own, and to me, a teacher means so much more. Simply put, a teacher is not just a teacher, but a mentor, a father figure, a guide, a counselor, and a philosopher.
Hence, I would like to nominate Dr Wang Dakun for this award.
If one had any question as to whether Dr Wang would fulfill the above qualities, it could be easily dispelled. As our Chinese and bi-cultural studies teacher, Dr Wang is always there to give us a helping hand when we encountered any difficulties. A warm and affectionate teacher, he always welcomes those who seek him out after school, and seems more like a charitable host than a teacher during these after-school sessions. When you interrupt his flow of thought in class, he would politely divert your question, and then take the utmost care in returning to you the attention that he had diverted after he has finished his train of thought. Being one of benign temperament, he would restrain his temper til it was near breaking point, and even then he would continue to restrain, and guide by telling us what we did wrong and why we shouldn't do it. And if we continue in our disruptive pursuits, he would warn us that he was getting angry, and as the entire class has nought but respect for such a teacher, we would immediately quieten down in solemn respect. I admit we are not the most accommodating of students, but certainly Dr Wang was the most accommodating...and understanding of teachers. Truly, he is a notch above the rest.
Hence, I hope that this nomination would be taken seriously, cos if there were a better 'teacher', in all aspects of the word, than Dr Wang, the world is indeed then a place of great wonder.
